The Nautilus Remote offers remote control via MIDI (SysEx) of the Korg Nautilus workstation. Use it as a complementary control in studio or live situations where the original screen is not in reach, not visible enough or simply does not provide the haptics of an iPad touchscreen. The app covers a set of relevant pages to support you in a range of situations and serves as a helpful second screen even when it comes to in-depth editing, however it does not replace the Nautilus interface.

Korg Polysix Soundbook

Nautilus Polysix

The Polysix is a vintage analog synthesizer manufactured by the Japanese company Korg. It was first released in 1981 and was one of the first synthesizers to offer polyphonic capabilities (i.e., the ability to play multiple notes at the same time). The Polysix is a six-voice synthesizer that uses analog circuitry to generate its sounds, and it features two oscillators, a resonant low-pass filter, an envelope generator, and a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA). It also has a built-in chorus effect that can be used to add depth and dimension to its sounds.

The Polysix is known for its warm and rich analog sound, which has made it a popular choice among electronic musicians, particularly in the genres of synth-pop, new wave, and electronic dance music. It has been used by many prominent artists over the years, including Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode and Yazoo, and Thomas Dolby. Despite its vintage status, the Polysix remains a sought-after synthesizer among musicians and collectors, and its sounds can still be heard on many recordings today.

Dear Nautilus fans !

We have made a major update of the website with the re-design of the video section.

I have created a dedicated section to present the Korg Nautilus sound engines.

Just browse : Medias -> Learning The Nautilus -> and select one of the sound engine.

The Korg Nautilus workstation features nine different sound engines, which are as follows:

SGX-2 Acoustic Piano - A sample-based engine designed to recreate the sound of acoustic pianos, including grand pianos, upright pianos, and vintage pianos.
EP-1 Electric Piano - A physical modeling engine that recreates the sound of classic electric pianos like the Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer.
CX-3 Tonewheel Organ - A tone wheel organ engine that models the sound of vintage tonewheel organs like the Hammond B3.
HD-1 High Definition Synthesizer - A sample-based engine that provides a wide range of synthesis capabilities, including PCM, Waveshaping, and VPM synthesis.
AL-1 Analog Synthesizer - An analog modeling engine that recreates the sound of classic analog synthesizers, with features like virtual patching and multiple filter types.
MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM Synthesizer - A synthesis engine that combines waveshaping and VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) synthesis to create a wide range of complex sounds.
STR-1 Plucked String Synthesizer - A physical modeling engine that recreates the sound of plucked string instruments like guitars and harps.
MS-20EX Legacy Analog Collection - An emulation of the classic Korg MS-20 analog synthesizer, with enhancements like polyphony and advanced modulation capabilities.
PolysixEX Legacy Analog Collection - An emulation of the classic Korg Polysix analog synthesizer, with enhancements like polyphony and modern effects processing.

These nine engines provide a wide range of synthesis capabilities, allowing the Nautilus to create a diverse range of sounds suitable for various music genres and styles.
